Approximately 10 years ago I had a serious knee injury. It healed better than expected but it is certainly not normal by any means. Due to the way I walk and stand now my body gets out of balance, which results in random muscle spasms, mostly in my back. More recently, I acquired one of these lovely spasms and tried my usual remedies to no avail. I tried everything! Massage therapy 3 times a week, hot tubs, stretching, anti-inflammatories as well as muscle relaxers and NOTHING help to alleviate the pain.

After 6 months of constant pain, my very frustrated massage therapist (who can usually fix anything) referred me to Nicole for acupuncture treatment. At this point I was willing to try anything. After 3, one-hour sessions my stubborn spasm dissipated completely! Since I had such a great response to the back treatment we began to focus on the main source of my back pain, my knee injury. I have seen great results. I find that my constant knee pain is greatly reduced which allows me to walk more correctly thus minimizing my back issues.

I am currently on a monthly maintenance program that seems to help me tremendously. I also find a great side effect of these treatments. They leave me with an overall feeling of well-being, physically as well as mentally.
